Those property owners that request relief from the garbage fee only for the 2020/2021 tax year may file a Garbage Grievance form with the City Engineer’s office until October 31, 2019. Proof of non-use of services for at least a three-month period shall include, but not be limited to: landfill or transfer station permit with load slips and receipts, a valid contract with a private garbage hauler or canceled checks or disconnection of water in the vacant unit.
All property owners with existing Water/Sewer/Garbage Abatements or Garbage User Charge Waivers will be receiving their Continuation forms in the mail. This form must be completed and returned to the Engineer’s office by October 18, 2019. Failure to re-file the Continuation form will result in forfeiting your abatement.
