PUBLIC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

 

A public meeting will be held in the Common Council Chambers of the City of Amsterdam on Monday August 27th at 6:30 pm.

 

The meeting is being called as a requirement of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to discuss an exceedance of the action level of lead in drinking water in some samples taken from homes in the City of Amsterdam.

 

The meeting will be organized to educate the public of the history of our lead and copper sampling, our treatment, action level exceedance, what we have done as well as our plans for the future to return to compliance.  A question and answer session will also be conducted.
