NOTICE CONCERNING THE COMPLETION OF THE TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL (Pursuant to Section 506 and Section 526 of the New York State Real Property Tax Law)

The Assessor of the City of Amsterdam has completed and filed (as of December 31, 2018) with the Assessor’s Office and with the City Clerk, the 2019 Tentative Assessment Roll.  It will be available for public inspection Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.,at the Office of the Assessor until Tuesday, January 15, 2019.

The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll at the Office of the Assessor in City Hall on:  January 2nd (Wed.), 3rd (Thur.), and 12th (Sat.) from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.; and January 10th (Thur.) from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

The City of Amsterdam Board of Assessment Review will meet Tuesday, January 15,2019, between the hours of 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at City Hall to hear complaints. A publication titled “How to File a Complaint on Your Assessment” and complaint forms are available from your Assessor or online at, and must be completed in order to file a grievance.
