Richard A. Altieri joined the Army in 1941 and served until 1945. He was stationed for some time in France and traveled throughout Europe. Upon release from the Army, he met and married Edith Caprara. They resided in Amsterdam and had seven children. Richard, Anita, Karen, Jackie, AnnaMarie, Anthony and Joe. In 1957. Richard opened Altieri's Auto Body which is still in business to date.
