Nicholas Liggero served in the Korean Conflict from March 18, 1953, until January 7, 1955. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal, The United Nations Medal, as well as the National Defense Service Medal. Upon returning home he was married to his wife Patrica on April 17, 1955.Together they have three children Deborah, Nicholas Jr., and Valerie. He also has two grandchildren Jordyn & Connor Kline who he adores. Nick began his career at the United States Postal Service in Amsterdam in 1958 as a letter carrier. He became acting Postmaster in 1979 and Postmaster in 1980. He held that position until he retired in 1992.
