Timothy R. Bramer enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1968 following boot camp, jungle and additional combat training. Tim arrived in Vietnam in January 1969.  After his assignment to Mike Co. 3rd Battalion 1st Marines, Tim was stationed at Goi Noi Island.  Their efforts were to block the NVA from infiltrating South Vietnam. On February 7th 1969, his battalion was hit by a force of 200 NVA and the grenade exploded in his two man hole leaving a large gaping wound in his knee and breaking his ankle.  Following this combat injury, Tim was presented his Purple Heart Medal. Following recovery he rejoined his company and during his 13 month tour in Vietnam, Tim participated in four major operations.  After leading a successful night ambush, Tim was promoted to Corporal. To this day, Timothy's motto remains:  Duty, Honor, and Country, Semper Fi.
