Antonio was born in Amsterdam, N Y on May 28, 1921. He attended Amsterdam Public Schools, graduating from Wilbur H Lynch High School in 1941. He worked for Bigelow Sanford Mills until he enlisted in the Army on February12, 1942 as a Private in WWII. He served in the US Army Ordnance Branch stationed in Boston as a Clerk Typist, Payroll Clerk and Expediter where he attained the rank of Technician 4th Grade. Antonio (Anthony) was honorably discharged with a Medical Disability on April 23, 1945. Anthony married Sophia Greco in August 1946. He had 4 children, Theresa, Anthony, Roseanne and Paul. He worked for Crane-Nevins Electric Supply Company until he opened his own business - Tony Sardonia Appliances - in Amsterdam on April 22, 1969. He ran his store until his retirement. He passed away in February 2006.
